In “Sequences”, I center my program around Luciano Berio’s master piece for guitar: “Sequenza XI“, while curating complementary pieces that resonate with its themes and motifs. This project explores connections between Berio’s foundational work and other compositions, weaving together a cohesive program that highlights diverse musical influences, including blues, electric guitar techniques inspired by Jimi Hendrix, harpsichord motifs, baroque trills, and echoes of flamenco music. The result is a creative exploration that offers new insights into Berio’s piece within a broader musical context. More information coming soon.
